South Turramurra House is a custom knockdown rebuild by Hall & hart on Sydney's Upper North Shre, designed around family living, natural light and long-term functionality. 2026 Master Builders Finalist.
We’re proud to share that South Turramurra House by Hall & Hart has been named a finalist in the 2026 Master Builders Association of NSW Excellence in Housing & Pool Awards.
Designed and built as a long-term family home, South Turramurra House is a custom knock down rebuild on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, shaped around the way a growing family wants to live now, and for decades to come.
Positioned on a north rear-facing block, the design responds directly to the site and the family’s lifestyle, with key priorities including:
- Maximising winter sun to the main living areas while managing harsh summer glare
- Strengthening indoor–outdoor connection, linking the kitchen, alfresco and generous backyard
- Creating flexible living zones for family life, entertaining and quiet retreat
- Integrating purposeful storage for bikes, surfboards, camping equipment, wide vehicles and future caravan parking
- Creating considered zoning and sound separation to support privacy within a busy household
For Hall & Hart, this project reflects what we believe custom home design should achieve - a thoughtful balance of design detail, practical functionality and long-term liveability, shaped around the people who call it home.
It’s rewarding to see South Turramurra House recognised among this year’s finalists, and we are particularly proud of the collaborative effort behind the project - from our clients and design team through to our trades, construction and project teams who brought this home to life.
We wish all of this year’s finalists the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating the achievements of everyone involved at the awards.
