Modern architecture values simplicity and emphasizes straight, clean lines. A style that is minimalistic and embraces rooms with lots of natural light and uncluttered spaces. A purposeful interplay of geometrical shapes and lines gives the impression of minimalism.

This modern coastal chic residence was designed for a narrow, sloping block and to take full advantage of distant beach views in Sydney’s south-eastern suburb, Malabar.

The design prioritised thermal comfort due to the west-facing aspect of the home, and our clients looked at alternatives to brick for exterior materials. Our designer’s use of a variety of materials and textures gives the exterior the appearance of being lightweight and beachy while providing maximum thermal comfort. A sleek, modern aluminium awning installed to the front window gives interest and character to the home but most importantly provides shade from the hot western sun.
