Meet the latest gorgeous home from the award-winning builders Hall & Hart, inspired by the Hamptons!

The word ‘Hamptons’ conjures images of relaxed, coastal beauty. It evokes iced tea served at a wicker table; a vista swathed in serenity. It’s green lawns and quietly impressive houses in stunning neutrals.

The house makes an immediate impact, with an inviting symmetrical facade. The elegant double entry doors beckon guests within to a dreamy interior.

The sense of space is created by the raised ceiling over the kitchen and family areas, that is rimmed by windows near the top. This allows a flood of light through one of the busiest areas of the house.

It’s no wonder there’s so much buzz around The Chelsea, one of Hall & Hart’s new Hamptons homes. It has been designed with spacious elegance in mind, while still being practical enough to meet all the needs of a growing family.

It reflects the need for design which counterbalances trendy minimalism with a classicism which looks contemporary but will stand the test of time.

Getting the Hamptons Look with COLORBOND® steel Matt

One of Hall & Hart’s key suppliers, COLORBOND® steel, was instrumental in getting the right look and feel for The Chelsea.

Christine McCoy, COLORBOND® steel’s NSW Design & Colour Consultant, says that the trend for ‘Hamptons’ houses is an ode to Australia’s Queenslanders, beach houses, and our rural homesteads, or “homes among the gum trees”. These designs sit deep within the Australian consciousness.

The steel roofline & veranda of the Chelsea is the Australian version of the Hamptons aesthetic. It’s perfect for our quintessential lifestyle…outside, entertaining and enjoying a sundowner on the veranda to get the most out of the superb weather we enjoy.

The colour palette for the Chelsea includes coastal cool greys like COLORBOND® steel Basalt®, as well as warmer, more neutral matt finishes from COLORBOND® steel Matt range like Dune® and Shale Grey. They’re versatile colours that assimilate easily into different environments.

The light-coloured steel roof has a cool aesthetic while contrasting beautifully with the woodwork.

The look carries from outside in, to reinforce the style. The textured look of the weatherboard against the corrugated steel is echoed in alfresco dining areas.

The Chelsea home is perfect for the classic Australian lifestyle, while still holding a contemporary appeal.

    Add Some Stylish Furnishings…

The inside colour palette of the home also exudes a Hamptons-like calm. The Chelsea features rich timber flooring, plus wall panelling and panelling to the kitchen cupboards.

Features such as black tapware and warm greys and whites with the paint and carpet add to the overall chic.

Choosing furnishings that complement the fittings will be the cherry on top. We’d suggest soft grey and white sofas lined with navy piping, with touches of navy and perhaps some stunning sea-themed paintings.

Given the textured façade, a beautiful way to style the alfresco space is with soft green plantings and cane furniture.

The wonderful thing about building with Hall & Hart is that each Chelsea home is customisable for your family.
